My name is Maria, I live in the uk,, started listening to DAB in January and I tell you, it's the best app on my phone since I got this smart phone. I love listening to the word of God every morning and I love the way people,e call in to prayer for other people that they do not know before which truly amazing, that's what Christ wants us to do as Christians. Lastly the prayer requests and praise report are so amazing . Thank God for this great ministry and for all the DAB team for all your hard work.

Hello...DAB community!!! My name is Kevin and I started to listen to DAB on April 1, 2013 following the advise of a good friend. I have listened every day since then and have found comfort and inspiration in hearing the Word, spoken by Brian. I have had a Bible for many years, but have not taken the time to read it fully. Through Brian's ministry at DAB, I am hearing the Word anew. My path to DAB started around Holy Week 2013, especially from Good Friday through Easter. Our Dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, grabbed and filled my heart with his grace and love. The week following Easter 2013 became one of the most emotional and uplifting times I have ever experienced in my life and it continues today. Listening to DAB was a comfort during that time. I have been a member of the United Church of Christ for most of my life and believed in my mind that I needed to follow Christ. But after nearly 50 years of my life, our Dear Lord asked for me as a whole servant, not only in mind, but in heart and soul. What a blessed gift from Christ!!!! It has been challenging to say the least dealing with the whirlwind of emotions, but the Lord also sent earthly messengers, Ron and Crystal, on my life's path to help direct me on that glorious road to the divine love of Christ. I feel comforted by the family at my church and the worldwide community of Daily Audio Bible Listeners. Christ lives in all of us...but he ask for not part of us...but all of us. Well, I have got the message and will continue to live fully in the praise of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I sometimes think back to a hymn I remember in my youth, "Lord I want to be a Christian in my heart". I hope to sing his praises to the day that I shall meet him with the heavenly choir of angels. I wish all of my new DAB family peace, love, and wisdom granted to us by the true redeemer, our Lord Jesus.

DAB and prayer requests

Hi everyone-I wanted to share a little bit of my DAB story. I've been listening for almost 2 years now, and so does my best friend, but neither of us ever listened to the prayer requests at the end of the podcast. We listen, then discuss almost daily, which has been awesome and a great experience. A few months ago, she said that God was telling her that we needed to begin listening to the prayer requests and praying. I didn't really want to (I know, I know....) primarily because the audio quality isn't so good and it's often hard to hear exactly what people are saying. I'm weird about stuff like that, but it drove me crazy. I did it, however, and have been SO incredibly blessed and touched. It has added a dimension to the DAB that I never realized I was missing-the community aspect. I knew that tons of people were listening, but hearing their voices and their stories made such an impact on me. I find myself now almost constantly in prayer and am always so glad to hear when people call back in and share their praise reports. This community is beautiful and I'm so glad that I started listening.

Hi to everyone at DAB,
Not only am I new to DAB but also to the internet, so I confess that this is my fourth attempt to introduce myself as I have either lost the mail or net connection. In fact I've already lost the first line and had to start again. I also thought I'd sent a mail to Brian but discovered I'd sent it to myself first.
It's great to share the appreciation for DAB with you and the wonderful work that Brian, Jill and the children put into this. All for the reason that we can be part of a family and not get lost along the way, how compassionate is that.
I'm having great fun with this and also much tugs at my heart as I read prayer requests and introductions.
My walk with Jesus began almost 10yrs ago and since then I've come to know for real the joys and sorrows of the Psalmists. It's the best way I can describe it so far.
The sorrows of course we don't want to dwell on but I found it is the place of utter dependency, the place were the Lord can show Himself Mighty so therefore also a place of Praise and testimony. I have cried in that place so much that I thought I would never breath again and neither did I want to.
Having entered into an unbelievably dark time, I retreated. I couldn't possibly share with my unbelieving family and approaching the Church again was not on my list of help.
I'm not quite there yet where I'm ready to give details of how I came to be in that pit but I am ready to say that God does reveal and heal in His time.
Cleaving to the Lord alone was not easy. Hanging in there was hard, the only time I read the bible was when a Scripture came to mind, the only daily prayer was a weak and exhausted 'Jesus help me'.
I can now see, in hind sight, the Lords impeccable timing, when I was ready to know and embrace the truth that would set me free. Only He knows when we are at the point were He can really use the truth of our situation to strengthen us and not crush us. There may be hints along the way, but as I said it is in hind sight that we see where God has shown up and we didn't notice or simply did not want to see. Whatever way, God is so gracious and understanding of our frame that He will use everything for the good, pursuing us with His love. I thank the Lord His grip on me is tighter than my grip on Him.
Finding DAB was a huge surprise. I was up late one night and thought I'd browse through store on windows8. I had downloaded talking Bible apps before but being automated recordings it was very hard to listen to. However I noticed a new app, a red rectangle with a Cross in the middle titled 1 year audio Bible. I thought I'd try it hoping that if it's automated again it may just have a bit of something in the tone to keep me listening. Can you imagine my surprise to hear Brian, all out for Jesus, reading Gods Word! Just what I needed but certainly didn't expect. Then to discover everything else attached to the app was a whole new world to me, an online one.
Now I will close before this mail disappears from the screen too.
My thanks to all who call in with prayer requests, thanks giving and testimonies, so encouraging to hear folks depend on the same Jesus I do, the one that came to touch and heal the lepers, the Jesus who came for all.

I have been listening to DAB for about a week, catching up since the beginning of the year. I was really surprised how pleasant and enjoyable it can be to listen to the word of God! I am looking forward to the rest of the year as I hope it will take me a step closer to being a better person that I know I need to be. I was really touched by how caring everyone seems to be for each other and I hope to be talking to yall soon.

I am so grateful to the Lord for this community and to Brian for hearing and listening to God and being obedient. I have been listening since July of last year and it is such a blessing. I love listening to Brian (and occasionally Jill) read the Scriptures and listening to Brian's commentary at the end. I also pray for our family members who call in and love to hear Blind Tony inspire us with his poetry.

Peace and blessings DAB family. Hoping we can have a family gathering in the DC metro area real soon... in the summer so the entire Hardin family can come. Let's make it happen

About me and what you all mean to me: I am a man pushing 60 in June. I am a recovered alcoholic by the GRACE OF GOD (HALLELUIAH!!) for over 24 years. I met the Lord when I was 16 yrs old. I have carried on a rebellious, back-slidden life for so may of those years. What a waste. Now though, I would say that I am a recovered Christian.

Daily Audio Bible has helped me so much to CONSISTENTLY read all the sections of the OT and NT read by Brian every doggone day! I have NEVER in all that time in my life consistently read God's word. So you can see that I am a fool of the first magnitude and I'm sure one of the least of all Christians.

Today, I am beginning my daily study with tons of thanksgiving. DAB...Brian and co. I am so grateful for this ministry and what it means to me. Consistency...day by day. I am, for the most part right here with you, Brian, daily now. That is a miracle and God did it!!

The Holy Spirit led me to find you because He knew how desperately I need this ministry. I am a very free spirit who's distracted by stuff so easily. I have an artistic bent. But you guys help keep me on track. I appreciate your daily praying, Brian...I live very quietly in a town of 700 in the higher foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Cali. I am isolated. I haven't found a church body that seems suitable to and for me. So to get down on my knees and push my face into the carpet and pray WITH someone is such a blessing. Brian, I love to pray with you...and whoever might be praying with us at the time. You get me started each day. You lead me and remind me to pray: for my enemies, my friends, the rapacious world we live in, my confused and non-God fearing country (anymore.) my exes and my second wife's kids. and finally my own family. Never consistently but because of your ministry, I'm consistent now, so much so. Soooo, family, if you're at work at DAB and you're wondering if what you do is worth it, IT IS TO ME!!! Keep it up. I have to get things worked out financially, but once I do stabilize, DAB is a tithe target for me. You guys are helping me so much to read and pray, I can't thank the Godhead and you folx enough for it. I love all you bro's and sis's who make this ministry possible and I bless you all right now! A very honest PRAISE THE LORD JESUS, God's son and my patient and graceful Savior. Who, when all else is swept away, is the only being or thing left and Who I love beyond all else. AMEN! New expressions added to our household lexicon

Hi, we're new here and glad to be aboard. We were looking for a way to spend more time together in the Bible with our teenage daughter. My wife came across DAB on the BibleGateway website, and it has been perfect. Brian does a stellar job reading, and there's something special about having it fresh baked daily.
We've added a few expressions to our household lexicon that you might like:
"Let's do the DAB!" (DAB pronounced as dab, as in "a little dab 'll do 'ya" from the old Brylcreem commercial.)
Sometimes I'll listen to the day's Word once on the way to work, and once on the way home. We call that "double DABBING".

Hello Dab Family, I have been listening to Dab since the fall and It is increasing my faith as I hear the Word of God daily. I am an intercessor and I pray for the requests made on the broadcast. Thank you Brian and may the Lord continue to bless The Dab ministry, and your family. I live in NC, my kids are grown and I have 7 grandkids. So happy to be part of such a wonderful ministry and a community of people who love The Lord.

The DAB Means Everything to Me

Hello my name is Quinta and I have listened to the DAB off and on for about 4 years. This year I plan to stick with it for the entire year! I don't want to miss even one day. I desperately want a godly woman mentor, I need this. I would prefer a woman who is married and in her 40's or 50's. It would also greatly help if she has survived the storms of motherhood. I am a Midwestern woman so if possible someone from that region would be great! This has been my prayer for a long time. So please pray with me that I find this woman or that she finds me!

How I came to Listen to DAB

I was going through some serious spiritual attack. I prayed and fell asleep praying. As I was getting ready to awake, I heard a voice saying over and over again: "DAB Bible". It said it three times. I have about 7 copies of Bibles in my house. I don't recall that any of them is a DAB bible. I got my laptop and went online because I never heard of this version before. I typed DAB bible, into google search. I was sure that I was not going to find this Bible. The first thing that came up was daily audio bible. I clicked on it and listened. I heard a guy named Bart aka slave for Christ giving a testimony about spiritual attack. I contact him by email. He advised me and follow up with me and helped me through this difficult moment. One of the main theme of his assistance was that praying out loud will help. It helped. Yes, I am still attacked but not with the frequency. I am glad that the Yahweh led me to this website.All honor and glory belongs to him. I have been listening ever since.

New to DAB

I am new to DAB. I was brought here after the girl I love and I broke up after 2 weeks of fighting (we were together for 4 months). I took a lot of time self evaluating myself I decided that I needed to become a better person and get closer to GOD. I tried to find a bible in my house to read but I couldn't find one. I went to read it online but I didn't get to far reading it by myself. Then I stumbled upon DAB and now I subscribe to the daily readings and listen to the audio parts of the bible for everyday. I am a baseball player who is looking to get closer to GOD, better myself, and when the time is right get back together with that girl who I love when the time is right.

Newbie to DAB

I am a jewish believer in the LORD Jesus. I am a musician/teacher and a producer/ engineer. I am home all day alone . I need Godly adult interaction thru the day. Please pray for me that God will cause me to seek HIM continually, and not grow faint and get caught up in the things of the world that the enemy loves to dangle like a carrot in front of our faces.

For Christmas this year, I received a copy of Brian's book Passages from my uncle. Though I had considered listening to the Daily Audio Bible before, I had never committed, and I had no idea about the community behind it. After listening for just a month, I can see how much of a blessing it is. It has already become an essential part of my day. So thankful to have found this community.

I am new to DAB. This is really an answer to prayer. I have a hard time reading the Bible. I have ADD so I don't retain the information very well. I love how Brian gives you more information about the part of the Bible he is reading at the time. It helps me understand better what is going on. Now I just have to find time to listen to it all. The greatest Christmas gift I received this year was stumbling across the DAB app on my iphone. What a wonderful ministry and group of loving people. I pray for the prayer requests as if you are my own family, even though I have never met you.

My hope is that everyone here has a blessed 2013, filled with all the riches of Christ Jesus, and for the pouring of health, happiness, and abundance into your lives.

I so look forward to getting to know all of your throughout 2013 and beyond.
